"...Your reward will be great in heaven..."
The saints forever praise God's glory in heaven. In their lives on earth they lived out the beatitudes preached by Jesus in His Sermons on the Mount and that is why they are so happy now. We too need to model our lives on them so that where they are we may one day be. We, like they, will see God face to face.
